Auditions for Chaffey College’s 2010 Fall Musical

Oklahoma!

Rehearsals: M-TH 7-10pm
Performances: Nov. 4, 5, 6 and 12, 13 @ 7:30pm and 14 @ 2:00pm

Audition Info:
When: August 23 & 24 at 7:00pm
Where: Chaffey College, 5885 Haven Ave. (In The Theatre)
Prepare a brief musical theatre song (16 bars) with sheet music or a cd track without vocals. An Accompanist will be provided. You will also read from the script and dance. Bring a resume and headshot or current photo.
Callbacks: Wednesday, August 25th at 7:00pm
First rehearsal : Thursday, August 26th

Seeking a cast of 20-40 performers:
Curly- 18-30, baritone/tenor with a huge ego, lead
Laurey- 18-25, soprano with spunk, lead
Aunt Eller- 30+ mezzo with great charm and a no nonsense attitude
Will Parker- 18-30, baritone –must sing and move well
Ado Annie Carnes- 18-25, mezzo with a real soft spot for “men”
Andrew Carnes- 35+, Ado Annie’s Dad
Jud Fry- 20-50, bass/baritone, dark and brooding, strong actor
Ali Hakim- 18-50, peddler man, strong comedic actor
Gertie Cummings- 18-25, obnoxious laugh, strong comedic actress
Ike Skidmore- Friend of Will and owns Skidmore Ranch
Singers, Actors and Dancers, all ages and types for the ensemble and dream ballet.
Also, seeking Technicians and Stage Manager. All Roles are Open. Ages 16- 100!
Anyone cast in the production must enroll in Theatre 50 or 51 for 3 units by August 27th.

ARTicles (http://www.chaffeyarticles.com/) seeks creative students with writing, photography and graphic design skills to participate in the production of an exciting student publication on the visual and performing arts at Chaffey College. This is an excellent opportunity for students with aspirations in the arts, with emphasis on writing, criticism, publishing, photography, graphic design, art history and museum studies.
