Quartet lead by Vijay Gupta, LA Phil First Violins, and the founder and Artistic Director of Street Symphony, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing free, live music to people experiencing homelessness and incarceration.

General Admission tickets are $25, available online at www.chaffey.edu/theatre_tickets

Limited number of discounted tickets for current Chaffey College students are available at the college bookstore for $10. Student ID must be presented at time of purchase. One ticket per Student ID. (UPDATE 2/3/14: Student Discount Tickets Sold Out, General Admission Still Available)

If still available, tickets can also be purchased one hour before the concert at the Theatre Box Office.

This Tony Award-winning modern musical focuses on a group of unique 20-somethings making their way in the big city, seeking their purpose in life. A hilarious show full of heart and hummable tunes, AVENUE Q tells the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who moves to NYC with big dreams and a tiny bank account. AVENUE Q features a cast of people and puppets who tell the story in an entertaining and risqué way. The New York Times hailed AVENUE Q as "a breakthrough musical of a very different stripe. Savvy, sassy and delicious!" and Entertainment Weekly claimed it was "one of the funniest shows you're ever likely to see!" Most theatre goers describe it as “Sesame Street meets South Park.”

AVENUE Q features music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff, based on an original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and is directed by Christa El-Said with musical direction by Patrick Aranda. The original Broadway production won the coveted “triple crown” of Tony Awards in 2004, when it beat out Wicked for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book.

Due to adult situations and full-puppet nudity, AVENUE Q is inappropriate for children.

AVENUE Q is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

Getty Museum Bus Trip

The Associated Students of Chaffey College (ASCC) is sponsoring a free bus trip to the J. Paul Getty Museum of Art at the Getty Center in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 5, 2013. The trip is open to students who have paid the college service fee. Students can reserve a seat now at the Student Activities office and must bring their tuition payment printout and ID when they sign up for the trip. Seating is limited so don't delay.
