BATBOY LIVES!!! SEE THE MUSICAL AT CHAFFEY COLLEGE

On October 23, Chaffey College will release the “Batboy” for public viewing. This popular Off-Broadway musical proves the perfect Halloween-time theatre treat. Based on a story in the Weekly World News, Batboy: The Musical is a musical comedy/horror show about a half boy/half bat creature who is discovered in a cave near Hope Falls, West Virginia. Leading the cast are Luis A. Rodriquez as Batboy, Annie Curasi as Meredith, Elise Gould as Shelley, and James Ellis as Dr. Parker. With a strong ensemble playing multiple Townsfolk, set design by Paul Jacques, lighting design by Bill Mittler, costume design by Merrill Grady and Carrie Smith and direction by Christa Havenhill, this production proves solid as a cave rock. Shows run Oct. 23-Nov. 1 on the Chaffey College Campus. Tickets are $12 general and $10 students. A special Halloween performance and costume contest will be held on the 31st at 9:00pm. Batboy was fantastic! Absolutely loved "Shelley"...great job casting! The banter between mother and daughter was really well done...excellent rhythm. I was also really impressed by the set and use of lighting. Congratulations Christa and Cast!
